Shikhar Dhawan’s extreme 77 runs in just 57 balls helped SRH to thrash RR by 9 wickets in the very first game of this IPL season 11 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
What an inning by the Gabber! Loved to watch and I hoped that even Rajasthan Royals’ fan has enjoyed the Shikhar Dhawan show last night. I think RR will never forget that fact of Cricket “Catches win Matches.” As Ajinkya Rahane dropped the catch of Dhawan in a very first over and then Dhawan had just opened the face of the bat and hit the whopping 77 runs (13 boundaries and 1 YES Bank Maximum) on the scoreboard and gave the first win to SRH.
When he was on the ground and hitting the shot very hard; the squad of the SRH wouldn’t feel the absence of their former captain David Warner. Once the score was 50 in just 5.3 overs and the reason is “Shikhar Dhawan”. Finally, SRH has registered the first victory of the season and now they are filled up with confidence and energy.
